Either way, we’ve listed some of the top things to do in Santa Fe below to help you frame your upcoming trips to our Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast.

  1. Art is at the very heart of Santa Fe, as the breathtaking landscapes and cultural confluences of northern New Mexico have been attracting artists for centuries. There’s no better place to see local art than on Canyon Road
  2. For even more art and culture, head to Museum Hill, home to several of Santa Fe’s finest museums. There are also some great museums in downtown Santa Fe, including the New Mexico Museum of Art and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum
  3. One of the most popular things to do in Santa Fe is shop ’til you drop. There are some great stores in downtown Santa Fe, including a fun range of consignment stores featuring everything from western wear to home decor. Don’t miss the Native Artisans under the eaves at the Palace of the Governors on the Santa Fe Plaza, too!
  4. While enjoying all the top things to do in Santa Fe, don’t forget to eat. You probably won’t be able to escape the delicious smell of New Mexican chiles and other delights anyway. Still, the enticing world of Santa Fe restaurants is ripe for exploring and includes everything from food trucks to fine dining establishments.
  5. Browse the vendors at the Santa Fe Farmers Market. It’s within walking distance from our Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast and is one of our favorite things to do in Santa Fe.
  6. If you’re looking for something out of the city, consider taking a hike. There are plenty of great places for hiking in Santa Fe, including the Dale Ball Trails, the Santa Fe National Forest, and the Valles Caldera National Preserve.
  7. While exploring beautiful northern New Mexico, don’t miss cultural sites like Bandelier National Monument or Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument.
  8. Summer and fall are exciting times to be in the city, and also the time of year when many of the most popular events occur. This includes the International Folk Art Market, the Santa Fe Indian Market, Fiesta de Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta, and so much more.
  9. Enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting at New Mexico wineries. If wine isn’t your thing, the Santa Fe Brewery or the Santa Fe Margarita Trail also offer excellent ways to relax and have fun in the city.
  10. Another one of our favorite things to do in Santa Fe is to tour the gorgeous Santa Fe churches spread throughout town, particularly the historic Loretto Chapel, home to the miraculous staircase.
