Get in the Christmas Spirit

The Farolito Walk on Canyon Road is a wonderful Santa Fe tradition that takes place on Christmas Eve. The walk starts at the beginning of the road, which is only a 10 to 15-minute walk from Four Kachinas Inn and weaves through the luminary-lined streets. The name of the festival originates from these tiny bags filled with sand and candles. The word “farolito” translates to “little lantern” in Spanish. Visitors and residents sing Christmas carols together as they parade down Canyon Road while breathing in the fresh, crisp mountain air! Trust us; you won’t want to miss out on this incredible Santa Fe holiday tradition.

Revel in the Beautiful Santa Fe Scenery

The Farolito Walk on Canyon Road starts after the sun goes down, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the unique sights of the City Different. The gorgeous adobe buildings lining the streets provide some of the most unique atmospheres that you won’t find anywhere else. You can see the outline of the mountains in the distance the lights rising from the heart of Santa Fe. If you want to start a new holiday tradition this year, we recommend the Farlolito Walk!
