Wine seminars vary on topics from comparing old world to new world wines, wine and cheese pairings, and various (often blindfolded) taste-offs of different wine combinations. Cooking demonstrations feature celebrity chefs, such as Matthew Accarrino of SPQR in San Francisco, David Tanis, chef and New York Times ”City Kitchen” weekly columnist, our own Mark Kiffin of The Compound, and our James Beard Award semifinalist Martin Rios from Restaurant Martin. There will even be walking tours provided by guest chefs throughout the event.
The featured artist for the 23rd annual Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta is William Haskel, who has painted a piece titled “Bound for Santa Fe”, which is a drybrush painting that depicts the beautiful landscapes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, historic adobe homes, and a vintage red pickup truck loaded with cases of wine.
