The Farolito Walk on Canyon Road is a wonderful Santa Fe tradition that takes place on Christmas Eve. The walk starts at the beginning of the road, which is only a 10 to 15-minute walk from Four Kachinas Inn and weaves through the luminary-lined streets. The name of the festival originates from these tiny bags filled with sand and candles. The word “farolito” translates to “little lantern” in Spanish. Visitors and residents sing Christmas carols together as they parade down Canyon Road while breathing in the fresh, crisp mountain air!
