The Top Places to Experience Glass Blowing in Santa Fe

Liquid Light Glass

Liquid Light Glass is one of the premier glass blowing studios in Santa Fe. This award-winning art gallery provides visitors with an in-depth look at all of the work that goes into crafting a beautiful piece of glass artwork. Colorful bowls, urns, vases, champagne glasses, and other beautiful showcases grace the shelves in artist Elodie Holmes’s establishment. Liquid Light Glass is less than a 10-minute drive from Four Kachinas Inn and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed on Sunday).

Tesuque Glassworks

Tesuque Glassworks is another fantastic glass blowing studio in Santa Fe. Artist Charlie Miner founded this workshop in 1975, and it still serves as a beacon of creation for many local artists. You can visit Tesuque Glassworks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday to talk with the glassblowers and peruse their works of art. It’s about a 15-minute drive north from Four Kachinas.

Shidoni Gallery and Sculpture Gardens are also a part of the property. It’s the oldest gallery in the area that’s under the same ownership since the mid-70s and includes a Bronze Gallery, ArtsGallery, and Sculpture Garden. You can browse the beautiful collection of artwork after seeing how it’s made!

Prairie Dog Glass

If you’re searching for a workshop-based glass blowing experience in Santa Fe, then you need to visit Prairie Dog Glass. Here, you can observe and watch as artists craft beautiful works of art south of the city center. They even offer glass blowing sessions at an hourly rate. Praire Dog Glass doesn’t have a website, but you can check their Facebook page for artwork and updates.

Blue Rain Gallery

Blue Rain Gallery offers a window into local art. Sculptures and paintings from over three dozen of Santa Fe’s finest artists are on display here, and you can typically find a handful of blown glass. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday (closed on Sunday). It’s also right across the street from the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market!
