FAQ's when staying at our Bed and Breakfast

You may book your room either online or by calling us (505) 988-1631.

To book online, click the “Book Online” button and you’ll be taken to a booking page where you can enter your proposed date of arrival, a number of nights, number of guests and see the available rooms. Once you select your room, you will then be asked to enter contact and credit card information. When the reservation form is completed, and your deposit is processed, an e-mail confirmation will be automatically sent to you.

If you wish to see a calendar of currently available rooms, click on the “Availability Calendar” button after entering the dates of your planned stay. Use the Availability Calendar” feature in cases where you might opt to change rooms during your stay or if you want multiple rooms. Once you note the rooms that are currently available, you can go to the booking page to make your reservation. While we strive to keep the availability calendar current, it is not operated in “real time”, unlike the booking page which is current and accurate.

Policies

Room Pricing

Our rooms can accommodate two people very comfortably and several can accommodate more. See the rooms page for details.There is a $25 charge for each additional person in the room above two. There is no additional charge for one child 2 years old or less in the room with the parents.

Deposit

All reservations at the Four Kachinas Inn must be secured by a deposit equal to the greater of 1 night’s cost or 50% of the total lodging cost including taxes. The deposit must be paid with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

Cancellation Notification

We offer two distinct rooms rates to allow for flexibility in cancellation for those who wish to have some “Peace of Mind”
Best Available Rate-Standard Cancellation Policy-At the time of Booking a 50% non-refundable deposit is charged. Reservations cancelled greater than 14 days prior to arrival date will not be charged the remainder of the cost of their stay. Reservations canceled 14 days or less prior to arrival date will be responsible for the entire reservation stay. This is also true for no-shows.
Peace of Mind Rate includes our Best Available rate plus our Peace of Mind cancellation coverage. By selecting this rate, you will pay an additional $25 per night over our Best Available Rate, knowing that you may cancel your reservation up to 12pm Mountain Standard Time the day before your schedule date of arrival and receive a refund of your deposit, less a $10 transaction fee plus taxes. Cancellation coverage must be purchased at the time you make your reservation.

Dogs

We have a few rooms at each of our properties that are dog friendly. They are rooms 1 (Galisteo) and 4 (Garcia) at El Farolito Inn and room 1 (Kachina) at the Four Kachinas Inn. A daily dog fee will be charged and a signed agreement will be required. Only one or two dogs per room are allowed with a maximum weight limit of 40 pounds per dog. Dog owners will be responsible for their canine companions and for any excessive damage they may cause. You will be required to sign a pet waiver upon check-in.

Check-In/Out

Check-in time is from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. If you will arrive after this time, please notify us well in advance so that we can provide you the information essential for after-hours self-check-in.

Check out time is before 11:00 am. Alternate check out times can sometimes be accommodated if pre-arrangements are made. Please check with the innkeeper.

Late Arrival

We can accommodate you if you plan to arrive after 6:00 pm. Just notify us in advance so that we can e-mail you our late arrival procedure. Call (505) 988-1631 or email info@fourkachinas.com. A key will be placed in a specified location so you can let yourself in.
