Your Guide to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe
Though there’s no shortage of great Santa Fe museums, the stunning Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is one you should definitely add to your list. The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is steps away from the historic downtown plaza and can be seen in approximately 90 minutes. Though it’s relatively small, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum houses some of the artist’s truly iconic works and other exhibits, such as a gorgeous selection of intimate photographs of the artist and her life.
The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum opened in 1997 and has since served as a vital resource for recognizing the incredible contributions of Georgia O’Keeffe to the American Modernism movement. On display at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in downtown Santa Fe is a selection of the artist’s works, including some of her paintings, drawings, pastels, and watercolors. Current exhibits on display at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum include the following:

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is open Thursday through Monday from 10 am – 5 pm. To maximize the guest experience for those visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, ticket sales are limited, and thus you are encouraged to book your tickets in advance.
In addition to visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in downtown Santa Fe, we encourage you to visit the O’Keeffe Home and Studio in Abiquiu, where the artist lived and worked during her time in New Mexico. She first visited the area in 1931 and, after falling in love with its gorgeous landscapes and culture, made it her home more than twenty years later. The season for visiting the home will close in November 2022 but reopen in March 2023.
